NEST
Interested in NEST 2026? Registration will open in April!
New Experiences for Students Transitioning, referred to as NEST, is a five-day pre-arrival program open to all incoming students. NEST takes place just before New Student Welcome in August, and gives incoming students a unique opportunity to form bonds with peers, explore UMW, and connect with the greater Fredericksburg community.
Community service is an integral part of NEST. Each year, students in the program participate in service activities on and off-campus, fostering relationships with the broader community.
NEST 2026 will be held from August 15-19, leading right into new student move in.
Registration for NEST 2026 will open in April 2026.
